Project overview
A South Redondo Beach homeowner spotted a snake sliding under a wicker patio sofa while letting the dog out. The dog was brought inside and the family called us.
The snake had tucked itself between the sofa frame and the cool concrete, a typical hiding place on a warm afternoon.
What the client needed
The family wanted the snake removed safely without harming it and needed to know whether it posed a risk to their dog.
- Safe capture from under the furniture
- Species identification
- Relocation off the property
- Advice on pet safety
Our approach
We moved the furniture carefully, captured the snake with tongs and identified it as a non-venomous species. It was relocated to suitable habitat and we checked the yard for other hiding places and rodent activity.
