Project overview
A Redondo Beach duplex had a long-running rodent problem that the previous tenant never reported. When the property manager called us, the attic and the open eave framing over the garage were covered in droppings, nesting material and soiled insulation, and the upstairs unit had a persistent odor.
The rodents had already been removed and the building sealed, but the contamination was still there and the new tenants were due to move in.
What the client needed
The manager needed the attic and eaves cleaned and sanitized quickly, documented with photos for the owner, and the odor gone before the move-in date.
- Full removal of droppings and nesting
- Sanitizing of framing and surfaces
- Odor eliminated in the upstairs unit
- Photo documentation for the owner
Our approach
Our crew worked in full protective gear with HEPA vacuums, removing contaminated insulation and debris, then treating the framing with disinfectant and enzyme odor control before new insulation went in.
- HEPA vacuum removal of droppings and insulation
- Disinfectant applied to framing and sheathing
- Enzyme treatment for odor
- New insulation blown in to proper depth
